LECLAIRE Jacqueline "Jackie" Deane Schumacher, of LeClaire Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 27, at Genesis West in Davenport, IA, surrounded by family.
The daughter of Max and Dorothy Marsh of Elliott, IA, was born July 27, 1949. She was one month shy of celebrating her 67th birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Max Gerald and Wade Marsh.
Jackie owned Garden Moms landscaping and spent her days surrounded by the flowers she adored. Her love of family, nature and her tenacious spirit aided in her 9 year struggle with breast cancer. She loved to cook and was always willing to open her home and heart to those in need. She loved genealogy and sharing the legacy of her family tree. Her home was proudly filled with pictures of her childhood, her children and grandchildren. She always had a story to share of her travels, love of horses and spirited encounters of her youth.
Left to carry on her love of life is her husband, Michael Schumacher of LeClaire, IA; sons, Gregory (Lisa) Mundorf of Grand Junction, CO, Anthony Hall of Bettendorf, IA; daughter Robin (Ryan) Reese of West DesMoines, IA; sister Janet (Douglas) Pine of Minnesota; step-daughters Brooke Clark and Amy Dickerson; 8 beloved grandchildren and 1 nephew. She served as a second mother to countless others.
Celebrate Life Iowa has been entrusted with Jacqueline's cremation care. As requested, Jacqueline's spirit will be returned to the mountains, trees and her husband. A celebration of her life will be held July 23, 2016, at Sunrise Golf Course in Bettendorf, IA. Condolences and memorials can be made to 8255 Mercato Court, West DesMoines, IA.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Genesis Health System for their care during this time.
